Kyndell Kim

Kyndell Kim is the weekday morning meteorologist at FOX5.

Since 2015, she has kept Southern Nevadans informed of impactful weather events. From severe thunderstorms to record-setting heat, she is passionate about making weather clear, accurate, and relevant to the community she serves.

Kyndell is a graduate of Mississippi State University’s Broadcast and Operational Meteorology Program and holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of California, Irvine, where she was a cheerleader.

She joined FOX5 after nearly a decade working in Las Vegas as a meteorologist and anchor-reporter. Prior to that, she worked at KBAK-TV in Bakersfield, California, as a weather forecaster and anchor. Earlier in her career, she was a production assistant and intern at KABC-TV in Los Angeles and an anchor-reporter for Time Warner Cable’s Channel 3 News in Orange County, California.

Kyndell is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Outside of work, life at home is just as lively as the weather she covers. Kyndell is a wife and mother of three! She enjoys dancing and singing with her children, playing with her two Yorkshire terriers, and cooking with her husband... sometimes all at once!
